Day-long Pay Advocate Training on Phoenix-related issues

Supporting the work of Phoenix Advocates and your members

Objectives

• Orient Pay Advocates to the union

• Provide an overview of Phoenix debacle and what PSAC has done

• Explain the strategy PSAC is adopting to address Phoenix

• Explore advocacy – what to do, not to do

• Where to go from here as a Pay Advocate

Upon completion, participants will receive a $50 per diem for each day to cover the cost of parking and lunch. Loss of salary is also covered if required - advanced notice is required. 

Please note that the following PSAC Policies are in effect for all union events:

  • Smoke-free environment
  • Scent-free environment is to assist members with environmental sensitivities.
  • Accessibility - if you have any persistent or permanent physical, mental, learning or sensory impairments, please let us know in advance by calling the Regional Office. PSAC will take the necessary action to ensure the availability of equipment and/or people required to enable all members to attend and fully participate in this course.
